The TQ Source data tools allow users to extract valuable, customized information related to teacher preparation, recruitment and retention, and certification and licensure across schools, districts, states, and regions. The following links will direct you to these tools:

The data that makeup these tools are derived from the 1999–2000 Schools and Staffing Survey (SASS) conducted by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). For the data tools on recruitment and retention as well as teacher certification and licensure, the data also are based on the 1999–2000 Common Core of Data (CCD) conducted by NCES. The most recent addition to the TQ Source, the Annotated Public Opinion Research on Teachers and Teacher Quality, is a comprehensive annotated list of the existing public opinion research on teacher quality.
